Visits are counted here when they arrive from an AI assistant — a referrer like chatgpt.com or perplexity.ai, or a link tagged utm_source. Nothing to install: it is derived from traffic you already collect.
This counts click-throughs — a person following a link from an AI assistant. It cannot see AI crawlers reading the site, or citations that are never clicked. Assistants that hide the referrer, or native apps that send none, are undercounted and land in “Other AI”.
